GroupMe in agreement to be acquired by Skype!

Per GroupMe's Twitter account they announced the following "Exciting news! Today, we have entered into an agreement to be acquired by Skype". This is great news if it means it can grow this multi platform group messenger program. The only concern I have with this is that Skype, who recently was acquired by Microsoft, could just become a Windows Phone only program and kill the potential it has as a Blackberry messenger alternative for the likes of Blackberry, Windows Phone, Android and iOS. I personally use GroupMe and hope it can become a all in one group/video chat client and retain its multi platform nature. Here's to what may be a great app to be.
