Google buying Motorola Mobility!

Hello Moto! No matter how you feel about it you have to admit this is big news for the android community. Motorola has been a big part of androids push in the Verizon network and helped pave the way for honeycomb tablets for android.

Now before everyone gets a crazy about Motorola understand they are still going to run their mobility department (only the mobility department was purchased) as a separate company. Sorry no dedicated hardware vendor for google yet. But as Engadget states "what about the likes of Samsung and HTC"?

RIM loses product manager to Samsung!

In a surprising move Samsung acquires RIM's Playbook senior product manager. Surprising since someone wanted something involving Rim and product in the same sentence.

If things weren't already bad for RIM this happens signaling rats jumping off a sinking ship. For RIM I hope they take this as a sign but only time will tell and it may take 6months (timeline before the 2 ceo setup is possibly dissolved) before they realize that changes are needed. Let's just hope they last that long.

Samsung introduces 2 more galaxy tab tablets!

If the tablet war did not already have to many choices, Samsung would like to introduce you to two more choices.

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 tablets. The 10.1 tablet is thinner than the iPad 2, runs flash, has USB ports, and runs honeycomb 3.0. Don't make any mistakes the 8.9 Tab is also thin. I am still on the fence for a tablet and this just made me lean back towards the Android platform. Windows phone 7.....and why they are struggling!

OK let's just get this one out from the get go, Microsoft is making major mistakes with their new Os. They are not meeting their quota's or even expectations with Windows phone 7 and teaming with AT&T as the exclusive carrier just somes it all up.

Now let's get into their current issue with updates, but not their cut and paste update, just the update to allow updates. You might be saying "wtf"! Your not alone, I feel for all the Samsung owners, regardless of windows or android (but that's another post in itself).

Tablet Wars- Death of the netbook?

The tablets are coming and they are coming with one of the strongest pushes ever! If you say what's a tablet I would just say "where you raised on a farm or living in a cave for the past year". Everyone is bringing a tablet out from Apple, Blackberry, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Toshiba, and even Sony has finally jumped onto the bandwagon. Now with all these tablets coming out I just thought to myself, these little guys can't replace a desktop or a laptop but what about a netbook? I personally own a Asus Eee Pc that my wife and daughter mainly use. They love it but I find that the keyboard is just to flaky to me and I would prefer a touch screen over any day.
